1,500 patients in four days.
We are collecting donations of new full-size tubes of toothpaste and new large bars of soap to send with the Mexico medical team to Ensenada. Please drop off your donations at the Saint Barnabas office or on Sundays in the box on the patio. Thank you.
In the impoverished areas around Ensenada, Mexico, medical care is hard to come by. Our homegrown travel mission takes over 50 people each summer to four locations around the city to offer free medical care and prescription medications, as well as a variety of items often unavailable: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shoes, hats, and more.
Over 1,500 patients are seen in just four short days and for many, it’s their only medical care all year. Medical professionals from around the country volunteer, translators help them all communicate, and many others help put the whole thing together.
