SATURDAY, MARCH 9, 11AM | CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS

Our new Bishop, The Rev. Jennifer Reddall, will be ordained and consecrated a Bishop in the one, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and the sixth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona on Saturday, March 9 at Church of All Nations in Phoenix. Tickets will be required. For questions, please contact the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona.

“In this case, we have to wait for permission from the General Convention Office to be able to give out any other details. Permission will be granted after a certain number of consents are received from bishops and dioceses across The Episcopal Church.”

Did you know: all clergy are ordained for the WHOLE church—not just for a parish or a diocese. When a new bishop is elected in a diocese, the rest of The Episcopal Church must consent to that election. That means a 2/3 majority of the bishops who are already seated and a 2/3 majority of the Standing Committees (which are the elected governing bodies of a diocese made up of priests, deacons, and laity must be in agreement with the election. This assures that personal agendas are not driving the leadership of the church but that unity is prized above all so that the church can work together for our stated mission: “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ” (BCP 855).
