CONVERSATIONS

SUNDAYS,  at 9am With The Rev. Jennifer Tucker  |  THE LEARNING CENTER (library)

Did you know there are over 80 prayers in the back of our Book of Common Prayer organized by topic or need?

Among other topics, you’ll find: Prayers for the World, Prayers for National Life, Prayers for Family, and Personal Life, you can even find a Prayer for our Enemies. This is a rich resource for times of prayer in which we may feel at a loss for words or when we simply want to be praying a prayer that we know others are also praying. Join us this Sunday, to learn about these Prayers and Thanksgivings. The Rev. Jennifer invites you to look at these ahead of time, if you’d like, and see if there are any that you are particularly drawn to or would like to know more about.

For our Enemies
O God, the Father of all, whose Son commanded us to love
our enemies: Lead them and us from prejudice to truth;
deliver them and us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge; and in
your good time enables us all to stand reconciled before you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Rev. Jennifer talks about praying for our enemies in her sermon last week, Sunday, July 3. Click here to watch.
