Welcome to Palm Sunday at Saint Barnabas Online. The service will premiere at 10:15am, Sunday, April 5, 2020. Click the icon below to view the Sunday Bulletin. For the best experience, we recommend having the bulletin ready before the service begins. Please note that we will not by participating in Holy Communion. You can learn more about this in Rev. Jim’s update to the parish by clicking here.

You can also read along with the Book of Common Prayer online by clicking here.

What is Palm Sunday?

Palm Sunday is a Sunday filled with emotional highs and lows. Jesus rides into Jerusalem as the people line the road with palm branches. They toss their cloaks before him to acknowledge him as their King. The Roman authorities fear and despise Jesus. They bring him to trial and crucify him.

On Palm Sunday: The Sunday of the Passion we tell both stories. We acknowledge the highs and the lows so that Holy Week and Easter can be an acknowledgment of our brokenness and the surprise of joy. Don’t miss Palm/Passion Sunday.
