THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 11:45AM | HUTTON HALL

We are delighted to introduce to you our new SAGES leader: Don Henninger! Don is the founder of the Scottsdale Coalition of Today & Tomorrow – a civic leadership group that works on issues in Scottsdale. Before that, he was Managing Editor of the Arizona Republic newspaper and Publisher/CEO of the Phoenix Business Journal for 13 years. Don’s enthusiasm, connections, and love for Saint Barnabas is the perfect fit for this new season of SAGES. We hope you’ll join us on September 27 (4th Thursday this month!) for our first gathering of the new program year. $5 for lunch!

Our first speaker of the season will be Todd LaPorte, CEO of HonorHealth

With more than 30 years of diverse experience in healthcare, Todd LaPorte leads an integrated health system that includes five acute care hospitals, extensive outpatient services, research, teaching programs, community services, multiple primary care and specialty care practices, imaging sites, and immediate care centers.

He’s inspired to advance the mission of HonorHealth to improve the health and well-being of the community, centered on one patient at a time. He creates an expectation for every team member – more than 17,000 clinical and support employees, volunteers, and physicians – to make every decision based on what’s best for the patient.

Since joining HonorHealth in 2001, he’s held executive roles where he focused on financial and strategic leadership (most recently as executive vice president/chief administrative officer), and has shaped a system with many access points as convenience for the community, with many innovative technologies to enhance the patient experience, and with special physician and employee engagement.

In April 2017, Todd became the 10th CEO in more than 150 years of HonorHealth history. Prior to HonorHealth, he held senior management roles for an international CPA firm that served many Arizona healthcare clients, as well as clients in high-tech manufacturing and consumer services. He was also the CFO of a privately held healthcare company that served over a half million Arizonans.

Todd was named CFO of the Year by the Arizona chapter of the Financial Executives International in 2012 and was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “125 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know” in 2013.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Arizona State University.

He has served as board chair for a chapter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the nationally-acclaimed Scottsdale Aquatic Club, and the Paradise Valley School District’s supporting Foundation for Public Education.
