SANDWICH MINISTRY

Mornings, August 14 – 19, 8:30am – 9am | Hutton Hall

A New Leaf’s East Valley Men’s Center is a safe haven for up to 110 men facing homelessness. Dedicated staff help residents establish a permanent housing plan and an onsite workforce helps the residents build a resume, find references, and secure job interviews. Through stable living, comprehensive services, and compassionate attention to the challenges each man faces, A New Leaf helps men experiencing homelessness.

Four weeks a year in the months of February, May, August, and November the Saint Barnabas community comes together to feed the residents of the East Valley Men’s Center by packing and delivering sack lunches on Sunday-Friday mornings. This is a great family activity offering a range of volunteering activities from sandwich making, packing lunches, writing inspirational lunch notes, providing group prayer, and delivering the bagged lunches to the facility in Mesa.

It’s a fast, easy way to make a difference in the lives of men who are working hard to get out of difficult situations. The sign-up link will be available two weeks before the event. We hope you’ll consider this life-changing mission work!
