DESCRIPTION:Our food drive collection takes place on the third Sunday of the month. Food can be dropped off in front of the Music Center between 7:30am and 10:15am or dropped off any Sunday of the month. Look for shopping carts in the courtyard! Thank you! \nThe Saint Barnabas Food Drive is a powerful force for change! 🌟 Your unwavering support through food and monetary donations is truly transforming the lives of many in our community. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the profound impact we’re making together. \nIn recent times\, places like St. Luke’s on the Mountain have faced unprecedented challenges. Previously\, their food drives would gather between 7\,000 to 12\,000 pounds of food thanks to the efforts of St. Mary’s Food Bank. However\, due to federal funding cuts\, they’ve seen a sharp decline: only 2\,500 pounds on May 17\, and a heartbreaking zero on May 31 when the truck didn’t arrive\, leaving many empty-handed. By June 14\, only 1\,900 pounds were collected. These are difficult times\, but here’s where your generosity shines. 🌈 \nYou’re not just donating food; you’re offering hope and stability. This month alone\, you’ve contributed approximately 2400 pounds of food and generously sent $4\,500 each to St. Luke’s and St. Mark’s\, and $3\,500 to St. Matthews. This incredible outpouring of love is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. 💪 \nLet’s rally again this July to surpass our efforts! Consider bringing: \n· Dry goods and pantry staples \n· Laundry and paper products \n· Snacks and meals for kids out of school \nYour contributions have a ripple effect\, lifting spirits and nourishing bodies. Click here to sign up. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Donate\nPlease note: small or family-sized canned and boxed goods are best\, not large bulk items that must be re-packaged. \nFOOD ITEMS: Cereal\, oatmeal\, breakfast bars\, canned goods\, canned vegetables\, canned or boxed soups\, stews\, beans (canned or dried)\, corn\, rice\, pasta\, peanut butter\, nut butters\, jelly\, spaghetti sauce\, spaghetti-o’s\, canned meats\, tuna\, chicken\, Vienna sausages\, boxed macaroni and cheese\, whole-grain crackers\, healthy children’s snacks\, bottled water\, powdered milk. \n\nTravel toiletries: shampoo/conditioner\, facial tissue\, body lotion\, razors\, hand sanitizer.\nCleaning supplies: spray disinfectant particularly.\n\nADDITIONAL NEEDS: Toilet paper\, facial tissue\, bar soap\, laundry soap\, and diapers (sizes 2 – 5). SUMMARY:Our Adult Parish Choir visits the UK
DESCRIPTION:A Special Musical Journey Ahead\nOn Sunday\, July 19\, we will offer our prayers and best wishes to the Saint Barnabas Adult Parish Choir as they sing together for the last time before departing on their upcoming concert tour of the United Kingdom. We are grateful for their faithful ministry throughout the year and pray for safe travels\, meaningful musical experiences\, and the opportunity to share God’s love through song wherever they go. \nWhile our choir is away\, we are delighted to welcome Canticum Novum\, under the direction of Donald Morse\, to lead the music for our worship services. This acclaimed Phoenix chamber choir is dedicated to the performance of sacred choral music\, offering a rich repertoire that spans centuries of Christian musical tradition. \nPlease join us on July 19 as we send our choir forth with our blessings\, and in the weeks that follow as we welcome Canticum Novum to Saint Barnabas during their absence. \nCanticum Novum is a 24-voice chamber choir based in the Greater Phoenix area\, founded by Donald (Don) Morse.
