SUMMARY:Emergency Packs Project
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 10 11:30am | Hutton Hall\nThere are all sorts of things we take for granted every day. Imagine struggling every day just to acquire your essential needs. On Sunday\, November 10\, following the 10:15am service\, all are welcome to help us put together emergency food packs for those in need. The packs will have assorted non-perishable food items that we will keep in our offices for when people come to the church for assistance during the business week. These bags will provide sustenance to get those in need through another couple of days as they work to make ends meet. Join us for the assembly day and always in prayer for those who are unemployed and underemployed in our community. \n  \nPhoto by jesse ramirez on Unsplash \nLocation: 6715 N Mockingbird Ln\, Paradise Valley\, AZ 85253

SUMMARY:Military Prayer Project
DESCRIPTION:SUNDAY\, OCTOBER 20\, 11:30AM | HUTTON HALL\nCome one\, come all to help assemble prayer packets for our military servicemen and -women! Express your thanks for the sacrifices they make and show gratitude for their service. Everyone is invited to stop in for a few minutes or the entire hour – every pair of hands helps. Adults and children are also invited to write messages of gratitude to be included in these wonderful packets. It’s an activity the whole family can enjoy! Let us know you’re coming! Please email Mary Lou Luvisa to learn more. \n  \nDid You Know…?\nIn 2005\, Saint Barnabas received its first American flag from one of the children of our parish who had brought it to us from a war zone where he had served. Out of that meaningful moment came a ministry of service and support for our military personnel around the globe. Our book & gift shop manager\, Tammy Underwood\, felt inspired to reach out to these brave souls and started carrying military prayer books in the bookstore that people could buy to donate. Then she found some neck-coolers that we could purchase to donate as well. Tammy then connected us with a state-wide organization that sends monthly care packages to our troops and started taking the donated items to be included. Later\, she started partnering with Tony Conyers\, one of our parish artists\, who made copper crosses and prayer cards to include in these care packages. To date\, we’ve sent 25\,000 crosses overseas! They started working with our Tuesday Morning Workshop ladies who started putting the crosses and cards together with little return note cards and envelopes. Thanks to Tammy Underwood’s vision that goes back to that very first flag 13 years ago\, we have had a connection with our servicemen and -women of both prayer and encouragement that you can now see displayed around Hutton Hall in their notes back to us. And you can see and read these messages in the book and gift shop anytime! Tammy keeps all the return letters in a binder so we never forget the deep impact we are making by these simple but important actions. So we encourage you to take part in this special part of Saint Barnabas. And we give thanks that Tammy was so inspired 13 years ago that she led us all to this ministry. See you in Hutton Hall. \n  \nLocation: 6715 N Mockingbird Ln\, Paradise Valley\, AZ 85253

SUMMARY:Bishop Consecration
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, MARCH 9\, 11AM | CHURCH OF ALL NATIONS \nOur new Bishop\, The Rev. Jennifer Reddall\, will be ordained and consecrated a Bishop in the one\, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and the sixth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona on Saturday\, March 9 at Church of All Nations in Phoenix. Tickets will be required. For questions\, please contact the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. \n“In this case\, we have to wait for permission from the General Convention Office to be able to give out any other details. Permission will be granted after a certain number of consents are received from bishops and dioceses across The Episcopal Church.” \nDid you know: all clergy are ordained for the WHOLE church—not just for a parish or a diocese. When a new bishop is elected in a diocese\, the rest of The Episcopal Church must consent to that election. That means a 2/3 majority of the bishops who are already seated and a 2/3 majority of the Standing Committees (which are the elected governing bodies of a diocese made up of priests\, deacons\, and laity must be in agreement with the election. This assures that personal agendas are not driving the leadership of the church but that unity is prized above all so that the church can work together for our stated mission: “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ” (BCP 855). \nLocation: Church of All Nations

SUMMARY:Introduction to TAEHS with Fr. Jim
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Taehs with Fr. Jim Clark\nLEARNING TO STUDY AND PRAY WITH THE BIBLE \nDECEMBER 3 & 10\, 9AM | WE MEET IN SEAN’S PLACE \nThe Bible can seem like a distant book – distant in time\, culture\, and language. The dynamism of taehs immediately engages both beginners and experienced Bible readers. \nOn two Sundays\, December 3 and 10 at 9AM in Sean’s Place (signs will help you find it)\, Father Jim will conduct an introduction to the taehs curriculum. Following this introduction\, participants will be invited to join a taehs small group in January. If you are interested in learning about our curriculum\, or if you want a fresh start with taehs\, please join us! \nLearn more about taehs \nLearn More about faith programs for adults \nLocation: Saint Barnabas\n6715 North Mockingbird Lane\nScottsdale\, AZ 85253
