DESCRIPTION:  \nALL WEEKS NOW FULL | WAIT LIST FULL\nContact Sarah Imai \n \nSaint Barnabas Arts Camp is an opportunity for kids ages 3 through those entering 6th grade to explore the world of fine arts and creativity with Saint Barnabas where all are welcome. Gently faith-based\, this one-week camp is filled with fun and engaging activities focusing on the creative process. The theme for 2026 is Our Nature. We can all learn a lot from nature\, especially patience. Watching a seed grow into a flower or a tree teaches them that good things take time. Observing animals in their natural rhythm shows that not everything moves fast\, and that waiting and watching quietly can lead to discovery. Nature encourages kids to slow down\, pay attention\, and respect the pace of life—lessons that build patience\, curiosity\, and a sense of wonder. Each camper will experience visual and performing arts as well as culinary arts every morning. \nAGE GROUPS\nPreschool Camp is a self-contained group with their own camp director and attentive staff and volunteers. Preschool campers are 3 and 4 year olds and must be potty trained. We encourage preschool campers to sign up for the morning only. \nCampers entering kindergarten and beyond in fall 2026 participate in the main camp\, which includes a daily lesson and small groups engaging in workshops related to culinary arts\, visual arts and crafts\, and performing arts such as drama\, singing\, and dance. \nJunior Counselors (grades 7-10) need to submit an application and complete a Zoom interview. Junior Counselors (JCs) will participate in a training program prior to camp. JC applications are now closed. DESCRIPTION:Walk As One For Peace on May 2\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 2\, as Saint Barnabas joins thousands of people around the planet for the 18th Annual World Labyrinth Day Walk For Peace. \nWe’ll gather in Hutton Hall at 8:30am for remarks and refreshments\, then make our way to the labyrinth to walk the path in prayer and reflection. Walking the labyrinth at a meditative pace takes about 15 minutes. Depending on how many participate\, it may take a little longer. Live Native American flute music is planned. Not a walker? Finger labyrinths\, tables\, and chairs will be available nearby. \nChildren are welcome to participate\, there will be activities for them! \nJoin us as we create a unified rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next around the globe. This is the time to quiet the mind\, let go of the mental chatter\, and release your burdens. Open your heart to feel whatever it might feel. You may want to connect with your breath or your footsteps. Relax and move at your own pace. If you meet someone on the path\, do what feels natural. You may move ahead of others and they may pass you by. Follow your intuition and experience your experience. \nRECEIVE. Pausing in the Center This is a place of reflection. Pause and stay for as long as you like. Open yourself to your higher power. Listen to that still\, small inner voice. In the safety of the labyrinth have a heart-to-heart talk with yourself and your God. \nRETURN. Outward through the Labyrinth. When you are ready\, retrace your steps. On the return journey\, the integration of your experience happens. You may feel a sense of well-being\, healing\, excitement\, calm\, or peace. You may also reclaim\, restore\, and renew some aspect of your life. \nEach labyrinth experience is different. You may remember\, release\, receive\, and return anywhere on the labyrinth\, in any order. You may not notice anything or have an insightful\, transformative journey. Whatever occurs\, listen to your heart and take your time. See what happens on a different day or at another location. The above description is only a small sketch. You provide the bigger picture. \n\nA Guide for Beginners\nOur lives are a sacred journey. We are not always sure where we are going. There is beauty and grace. There is grief\, sorrow\, and trouble. \nThe labyrinth is a way to tap into some voices that come from deep within. Not that we are going to figure everything out – but that we give ourselves time to ponder. There is no one correct way to walk the labyrinth. \nYou start at the entrance and follow the path to its center. Go at your own pace – it’s ok to pass others and do what feels natural when you meet someone on the path. There are many ways to explore the labyrinth journey. \nOnce in the center\, take some time to see where you are along the path of life. Maybe the Spirit of God will deeply touch you\, but you must give yourself a bit of time to listen. \nAfter you have listened\, make your way back the same way you came in. DESCRIPTION:BRING YOUR PALM SUNDAY CROSSES\nWe will be collecting both loose palms and palm crosses from last year’s Palm Sunday so they can be burned and made into ashes for Ash Wednesday. We are accepting them now and gathering through the Monday before Ash Wednesday – just drop them by the office or give them to an Altar Guild member or clergy on a Sunday. These palms once marked Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and now help prepare us for the season of Lent\, linking joy\, humility\, and renewal across the church year. Please bring your palm cross with you to church this Sunday and place it in the collection basket provided in the Sanctuary. \n\nASH WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE\nAsh Wednesday begins the six-week season of Lent. In these services\, we remember that we are dust and to dust we shall return by way of a cross of ashes being marked on our forehead. Through Scripture\, shared conversation\, and simple spiritual practices\, this series offers space to reflect\, listen\, and notice where God’s light is already present among us and within us. \nAll are welcome—whether you’re new to the Episcopal Church\, returning after time away\, or simply curious.
