Communications Update
August 2022
As we continue to find ways to thrive in an ever changing world, you may begin to notice some changes in the ways we communicate.
Our Communications team exists to amplify the spirit of Saint Barnabas by reflecting, supporting, and growing our culture. We spread messages from our leadership in the hope that they will inspire you and those around us to feel the boundless Presence of God. We also want to share your stories! Your stories highlight how we all contribute to creating a sense of belonging and how we each must continually take ownership of our mission. This is how, together, we will realize the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas.
You are invited to…
• Look on our website to find inspiring stories, messages, photos and videos on our new blog roll.
• Share our content with your friends and family, helping to spread digital evangelism.
• Read printed publications like this one that comes to your door as well as our weekly Sunday Bulletin Insert.
• And finally.…Contribute!
Would you like to share your stories, photos or videos? We love to receive them! Add your voice to the story of Saint Barnabas. Go to our Communications Page to find new and easy ways to share your content to help spread the word. You can write about your experience helping with one of our missions, or share stories or videos from a performance, like one of our concerts. You can share how contemplative life has affected your daily routine, how a sermon touched your heart, or your appreciation for the ministry work of a fellow parishioner.* After all, as we often say, “if it is to be, it’s up to me!” Helping everyone stay connected helps realize our mission of making disciples. While we continue to share the abundant life of Saint Barnabas in many and varied ways we will no longer send a monthly “Mockingbird Messenger” in the mail–but don’t worry! Our snail mail will continue to be active periodically, with postcards and magazines just like this one.
*Please note that we cannot guarantee publication of submissions. We reserve the right to edit all material for length, clarity, grammar and accuracy.
