The Rev. Pam Bell
Regional Deacon Leader (Central) for the Arizona Diocese
Pam grew up in Phoenix first attending All Saints’, then getting married at Christ Church of the Ascension. She is a University of Arizona graduate (3rd generation) and spent the next 21 years moving about the country with her husband Jeff Bell and three boys. She returned home in 2001 and settled at Saint Barnabas. Over the course of time, she has been a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Stephen’s Minister, Lay Eucharistic Minister, Altar Guild Director, Grief Counselor, and is a certified Spiritual Director. She is also a proud Grammy of three, lover of running and yoga, and can be found most times in a kitchen having fun and fellowship with anyone who enters. Email Pam Bell.

The Rev. Robert Berra
Associate Rector and Chief of Staff
The Rev. Robert Berra is delighted to join Saint Barnabas! Both natives of Mobile, Alabama, Robert and his spouse Laura were married in 2008 and have a little boy, Colin. Together, they can often be found bicycling or walking their dog around Tempe’s University Park neighborhood. With a Masters in Religious Studies from Arizona State University, Robert went on to study at Yale Divinity School. He was ordained in 2013, and planted a campus ministry at ASU Polytechnic. Robert also taught at ASU and began a ministry at ASU Downtown in partnership with Trinity Cathedral. Robert left organized religion in his teenage years. After a period of wavering between agnosticism and Deism, he returned to Christianity and was confirmed in the Episcopal Church in his mid-twenties. He considers the experience of his time outside of the church to be a gift from God; and that time informs Robert’s desire to bring people into a meaningful relationship with a loving God and into communion with a community mirroring the love of Jesus. Born in the UK, joined Saint Barnabas in 2001, and ordained a deacon in 2012. Began adult life studying cartography, transitioned to nursing, and now an Archdeacon, serving the deacons of the diocese. The Rev. Jennifer Tucker
Associate Priest
Born and raised in Ohio, The Rev. Jennifer Tucker received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Utah. Rev. She received her M. Div and MTS at Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Chicago. Rev. Jennifer was ordained in 2006 and comes to us from the Diocese of Utah. She has been married for 25 years to her wife, Amy, who teaches first grade. Together they enjoy the company of their two dogs. Rev. Amy DeCaussin
Communications Manager
Amy, her husband Cam, and toddler Marcel are active members at Saint Barnabas. Amy came to us from Scottsdale Public Art, where she led numerous projects including Canal Convergence, an annual event with interactive artworks by local and international artists, hands-on activities, live music and performances. Amy also maintains her own impressive portfolio of works in her studio. She loves strengthening the community and telling the story of the church through her creativity. Robert Heyde
Choir Director
Robert Heyde is the choral director at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy as well as an active performer around the Phoenix valley. He has been a part of Saint Barnabas for the past 8 years since moving to the Valley in 2011. He holds a Master’s of Music degree from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s of Music Education from Baylor University. Robert has performed various operatic and concert roles through Saint Barnabas, the Phoenix Chorale, North Valley Chorale, Solis Camerata and Arizona State University. He serves as a regional choral chair for the Arizona Music Educators Association and resides in Cave Creek with his wife, Stephanie, and their three young sons, Andrew, Beckham and Hudson. Rosario Oliva
Facilities Coordinator
Along with his wonderful wife, Kathryne, and two daughters, Emily (17) and Ashleigh (15), Rosario enjoys camping (or more accurately, “glamping”). The family are all animal lovers, sharing their home with cats, dogs, and a cuddly snake named Tim Tim. Rosario is blessed daily by God’s grace and love! He is so glad to be joining the fantastic people of Saint Barnabas.

Director of Children’s Ministries
An Arizona native, Sarah has traveled the globe studying, singing and teaching. She is now back home in Scottsdale raising her two children, Ruthanne and William Alden, and enjoying an active life involved in children and music ministries at Saint Barnabas. Michael Salazar
Director of Music
Michael began his organ studies at an early age and earned his first organist position at All Saints’ Anglican Church in Prescott. Michael attended the University of Evansville, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance with a minor in Theological Studies, magna cum laude, and was the recipient of numerous awards for musical and academic achievement. He studied organ and harpsichord with Douglas Reed. Immediately following his time in Evansville, Michael went on to graduate school at Yale University through the School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. He received his Masters of Music in Organ Performance in May of 2013, where he received instruction in organ with Martin Jean and organ improvisation with Jeffrey Brillhart. In addition, he received further study from guest teachers James David Christie, Simon Preston, Vincent DuBois, and Ken Cowan. While at Yale, Michael continued studies in harpsichord, choral conducting, and was heavily involved in numerous choral ensembles, both as singer and accompanist. In addition to his duties at Saint Barnabas, Michael has a full-time career in commercial finance as a banker.
