The sacrament of Baptism is one of two sacraments modeled for us by Jesus himself in the Scriptures, and we love to celebrate this special action at Saint Barnabas where baptism is offered for adults, children, and infants. We understand baptism to be an affirmation of our relationship with God and an affirmation of our relationship with the worshipping community. We invite you to become an active part of our worshipping community to better enable you (or your child) to experience even more fully the love of Jesus.

Baptism is offered several times a year during our worship services. Private baptisms are no longer offered as the Episcopal Church has come to understand this Sacrament as one to always be celebrated in and amongst the gathered community of faith so that the whole body can collectively commit itself to upholding new Christians in their life of faith.  Below, you can inquire about baptismal dates and a priest will be in touch further about baptismal preparation, which is required of all candidates and/or their sponsors. Please contact The Rev. Erika von Haaren for more information.
