This year Faithful Living, Faithful Legacy will focus on topics of interest for the “Sandwich Generation.”  About 50% of adults in their 40’s and 50’s are caring for either a parent or a child under 18.  How do you honor the wishes and needs of your parents while caring and passing on your values to your children?  topics include managing your resources, time, money, emotional capital, to create a legacy, preparing your children for a loved one’s death, understanding your parents’ health and emotional needs, avoiding financial scams directed at your parents.

  • Session One: November 17, 2019 – What are your Values? Understanding what’s in your soul and how to convey it to those you love…
  • Session Two: February 16, 2020 – Children, Death, & Loss: How do we walk through hard times with our children?

Some History…

In 2018, the Pastoral Care ministry of Saint Barnabas sought to provide a road map for preparing faithfully for the end of life. We will all die, but how we die, what we leave behind, and how those we love celebrate our life after we’re gone are all things we can influence. The 5-part series from 2018-2019 was an ever-deepening look at what it all means:

  • Session One: Thriving Through Your Lifetime
  • Session Two: Legal Planning for your Whole Life
  • Session Three: The Spirituality of Dying
  • Session Four: Health Planning at the End of Life
  • Session Five: Planning Your Memorial Service
