Jesus taught us to pray for one another…to the God who is present to all in need. The Order of St. Luke the Physician was established in 1932 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Diego as a healing ministry. It has grown into an ecumenical international order with chapters all over the United States and Canada. Many chapters sponsor healing weekends with speakers and Laying On of Hands for healing. Our chapter at Saint Barnabas was instituted by the Rev. Henry Getz in 1964 and has been active since that time. Meetings are on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00am in the The Other Cup. A prayer letter is sent out each month naming approximately sixty persons who are ill and have requested prayers. Our present 14 members pray for these persons daily, believing that Jesus continues to heal. All interested persons are most welcome to attend our meetings.
