Habitat for Humanity | Work Day

Saturday, February 3, 2024, 6:30 am–11:00 am

1967 E. Don Carlos, Tempe, Arizona

Dear Fellow Parishioner,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share the inspiring work our faith community is engaged in, as we come together to build homes for deserving families in need of our Christian compassion.

Each build day is a testament to the spirit of unity and purpose that defines our community. We kick off every session with a heartfelt prayer, graciously led by our dedicated homeowner, Ali. Over the past several Saturdays, Ali has volunteered to guide us in prayer, expressing gratitude for our safety and acknowledging the generosity of those who dedicate their time to creating a better life for him and his family.

While we focus on the task at hand and refrain from delving into religious or political discussions, the underlying motivation behind our actions is clear to each participant. It’s a form of quiet evangelism, echoing the sentiments shared by Rev. Jim in last Sunday’s sermon (scroll down to stream). We are collectively contributing to something meaningful, making a positive impact on the lives of those we aim to support.

If you share our commitment to compassionate service and would like to join us in this fulfilling endeavor, please feel free to reach out. Your participation would be greatly appreciated as we continue to build homes and hope for those in need.
