A Quiet Day with The Rev. Catherine Gregg

– From 9:30am to 1pm | Sanctuary + Z_o_o_m –

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO QUIET DAY IN the months of  JULY AND AUGUST

Quiet days are led by The Rev. Dr. Catherine Gregg

The Rev. Dr. Catherine Gregg is a retired Episcopal priest.  The former Director of a D.Min. Program in Spirituality, she continues to learn and teach about many aspects of our inner life with the Holy One.  She especially loves to share about Celtic Spirituality, contemplative prayer in its many forms, and how “faithing” matures and develops over a lifetime.  She and her husband Douglas created a 3-year training course in Spiritual Direction that has trained spiritual directors/companions throughout the western United States.  Catherine served for many years as a Rector in Episcopal churches; created and directed a Chaplaincy program at a regional hospital; worked for the Diocese of Nevada as the Canon to the Ordinary, and now serves as the Executive Director for the Contemplative Center for Spirituality and Healthcare in Southern Nevada.   Since the recent death of her much-beloved husband, Catherine draws strength and solace in the stillness of solo hiking, and in reflection and writing.

The contemplative life is quite simple and accessible to everyone. It is simply the intention to pause, to be still, and, by faith, to rest in Christ’s presence within. Quiet Day includes reflections by the Rev. Dr. Catherine Gregg, quiet solitary time, and sessions of communal silent prayer in the Sanctuary. Participants are welcome to the Sanctuary, to quiet areas for reading or journaling, or to walk our beautiful campus. The day concludes with the Holy Eucharist. Please bring your Bible.

Z_o_o_m credentials are sent via email. Not on our mailing list? Contact Ann Hott if you would like to be included. All are Welcome!
