Rector’s Update
March 11, 2021
Greetings Saint Barnabas. It’s been a while since I’ve come to you with an update but here I am. And this update is all good news all about our gathering for in-person worship outdoors. We had a beautiful and blessed Sunday worship last week and, I joyfully look forward to more in the weeks to come. As we come together to worship, we need your help.
There are three simple ways you can help us:
• The first one is patience, patience, patience. Please be patient with us. Please know, I know it can be very frustrating and disappointing to not be able to get a seat. I beg your patience. Please understand seating is limited to keep us safe. As always, our foremost concern is to gather together. So, we need your patience.
• The second way you can help us let’s make room for others. Here’s how we can do that. After you reserve a seat for one Sunday, when reservations open up for the next Sunday, please wait a few days before you sign up. This way those who get a seat the previous week will have a better chance.
• And finally, the third way you can help: if you’ve made a reservation and then learned you can’t attend, please let us know promptly so that we can make that reservation available for someone else.
I remain grateful, very grateful for your continued support, encouragement, devotion and patience. Throughout this pandemic I have watched us be the saints of Saint Barnabas. I’ve watched us continue to live into being peaceful peacemakers. It’s glorious to behold.
Let us continue to look forward to the day when we can all gather for worship, singing robustly in our sanctuary, our spiritual home. Thank you.
