“X” Marks The Spot!

Arrr, mateys! Our Parish Hall be transformed into a true pirate’s paradise, all in the name of our grand annual fundraising for Youth Missions. A night filled with revelry, treasure hunting, and the finest company a buccaneer could ask for! Aye, ‘twas a celebration of the real riches in life—family, friends, and the mighty spirit of community.

Our resident scribe, the clever Adele Powers, spun a tale fit for the high seas—three daring pirates settin’ sail in search of the grandest treasure chests. They followed maps, braved tempests, and dreamed of glitterin’ gold and jewels beyond measure. But when at last they laid claim to their prize, they found a treasure far more precious than doubloons—one they never expected!

The stage burst to life with sea shanties and mirthful mayhem! Performers took to the decks with swagger and song, channeling their inner pirate as the young ones strutted about like seasoned swashbucklers. From the lively tune of My Favorite Things to the comedic romp of I Am Adolpho, and even a nod to old-world glitz with Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, every note brought us closer to findin’ that “X” that marked the spot.

And what’s a pirate’s feast without a proper galley crew? Our culinary sorcerers whipped up a spread fit for a captain—pirate-inspired dishes that transported every scallywag to a tropical paradise!

But the fun didn’t stop there! Raffles and silent auctions kept the excitement rollin’ like the tides, ensuring the night stayed young and spirits stayed high.

As the sails furled and the curtain closed on another legendary gathering, we be left with hearts full o’ laughter and gratitude. Until next year, me hearties—when we hoist the colors once more and set sail for another grand adventure! Yo ho, ‘til then! ☠️
