Blessing Our New Liturgical Paraments

We have something new in our Sanctuary! MAFA member and donor Nancy Harvey, together with her husband Tom, partnered with the Memorial Acceptance and Fine Arts Committee (MAFA) to commission liturgical artist Jenny Berk to design and create a new green set of paraments—vestments and hangings—for our Sanctuary. The theme of the fresh, blooming desert reflects this season’s call to grow and mature in the daily expression of our faith. The gift is offered in thanksgiving for the Deacons of Saint Barnabas—past, present, and future. On Sunday, October 19, we will bless these new pieces and give thanks for the generosity that enriches our worship and beautifies our sacred space.
