We’d like to share an update from one of our mission partners, Habitat for Humanity, coordinated here at Saint Barnabas by parishioner Jay Harris. Below is a letter from a Habitat staff member we work with often, offering a warm reflection on last week’s dedication ceremony. It’s a meaningful snapshot of the partnership, the volunteers, and the lives changed. You’ll also find photos from the day that help tell the story.

Dear Episcopal Habitat Coalition,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Weldesilassie–Tela Home Dedication last Saturday! It was a beautiful ceremony filled with joy and love for the family. A special thank you to Earl Thomas for blessing the home with a lovely song—it truly brought tears to my eyes!
Thanks to the Episcopal Habitat Coalition’s generosity, Mulugeta and Merwahit are now able to provide a safer environment and more opportunities for their children. Your fundraising efforts and volunteer leadership are not unnoticed, and we are very thankful for each of you.
The Weldesilassie-Tela family will soon receive their house keys and begin transforming their house into a home—all because of your support. Thank you again for being part of the Habitat family. I’m excited to continue working together to help another family this year!
Thanks,
