This year, the Saint Barnabas community rejoiced in another beloved holiday tradition as families and friends gathered for our annual Visit with Saint Nick celebration! Once again, our church was filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of community as we welcomed guests to share in festive cheer.
A Whimsical Winter Gathering
The Saint Barnabas courtyard and gathering spaces were transformed into a winter wonderland where children and adults alike enjoyed an afternoon packed with holiday fun:
-
Festive Holiday Crafts: Families created beautiful holiday-themed crafts in our cheerful workshop area, spreading creativity and smiles.
-
Warm Refreshments: Popcorn, hot cocoa, and other cozy treats helped everyone embrace the season’s spirit.
-
Photos & Smiles: Smiling faces gathered for photos to remember this joyful day.
Special Guests from the North Pole!
We were delighted to welcome some very special guests all the way from the North Pole — Buddy the Elf and Jovie! Their surprise appearance added even more laughter and cheer to our festive celebration. Buddy’s boundless enthusiasm and Jovie’s joyful spirit brought extra magic to every corner of the event, reminding us all of the fun and wonder of the holiday season.
Children gathered around with excitement, sharing laughs and hugs, making memories they’ll treasure long after the day ended.
Honoring Tradition with Joy
Of course, Saint Nick himself — along with Santa and Mrs. Claus — delighted children with stories, warm greetings, and encouragement to embrace the spirit of generosity and goodwill. From discovering small shoe surprises to hearing tales of Saint Nicholas’s legacy, the event offered meaningful holiday experiences that connect faith, tradition, and community.
Each year, this festive gathering reminds us of the joy of giving, the warmth of community, and the grace of celebrating together as one parish family.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s celebration! We look forward to sharing even more cherished traditions with you in the years to come.
