Today we congratulate our youth who are receiving scholarship funds of $4,000 each to support their future endeavors. We recognize them for their service and honor their participation in our Saint Barnabas church community as well as their dedication to education and serving others. Jeff Underwood Scholarship | Jeff loved serving as an acolyte, being part of Sunday school, and participating in other youth events and activities. Sadly, Jeff died of cancer on January 30, 2003. In loving memory of their son, Tammy and Jon Underwood have established this scholarship fund to recognize and honor the young people of Saint Barnabas who are active participants in our community.
Episcopal Church Women Scholarship | Every Tuesday morning, a group of faithful church women meet to prepare cross packets for our troops serving abroad. They also knit and crochet blankets, hats, scarves, and prayer shawls for many people: veterans, baptismal families, children in hospitals and shelters, and the homeless. They love their church and each other and have been providing college scholarships for Saint Barnabas youth for over 30 years.
Kelly O’Connor Swanson Scholarship | Kelly loved and valued education and died at the young age of 50 in 2014. Her mother, Helen, who is actively involved at Saint Barnabas, has given these scholarship funds in loving memory of Kelly.
Anonymous Scholarship | This faithful Saint Barnabas parishioner loves our youth and is dedicated to their continuing education after high school.
