April 2 | Session 13: Matthew 6: 16 – 18 Fasting

Matthew 6:16–18 invites us to rethink fasting, not as a visible act of sacrifice, but as a quiet, inward turning toward God. Jesus cautions against practicing faith for recognition, pointing instead to a kind of discipline that is personal, even hidden. Fasting, in this sense, is less about what we give up and more about what we make space for. It becomes an intentional pause that reveals what we rely on, what distracts us, and what we truly hunger for beneath the surface.
