✨ Thursday was full of exciting adventures as our ✨ Thursday was full of exciting adventures as our campers stitched their way one step closer to completing their handmade bags! They learned how to use a sewing machine to sew the sides and add those special finishing touches. Feeling energized, they headed to Culinary Workshop where they mixed ingredients, added bananas 🍌, and made their very own pancakes —even getting the chance to flip them with a little help from our amazing chefs! After enjoying their delicious creations, campers wrapped up the day with Drama & Music 🎭🎶, mastering charades through patience and teamwork, and continuing to practice the camp song along with sign language. To end the day, everyone enjoyed yoga and meditation, reflecting on the value of patience and embracing the unknown. ✨ Another exciting day at Arts Camp! Campers kicke ✨ Another exciting day at Arts Camp! Campers kicked off the morning with a fun game of Pass the Parcel, discovering special paper circles that will soon become personalized buttons for their camp bags. 🎁 In Art, they continued working on their Patience Pouches, learning embroidery skills and adding creative designs with needle and thread. 🎨✨⁠ ⁠ The adventure continued with Music, where campers sang along to songs about Ranger Roy, played drums, and filled the halls with this year's camp song, I Want to Be. 🎶 Meanwhile, in Culinary, campers put their knife skills to good use by creating delicious pizzas topped with veggies they had prepared themselves, while also showing off their creativity by designing edible animals and objects. 🍕🐢 The smiles, imagination, and teamwork on display made for another unforgettable day at camp! Tuesday at Arts Camp was an adventure from start t Tuesday at Arts Camp was an adventure from start to finish! 🎨✨ Week 2 of Arts Camp is off to a fantastic start 🎨✨ Week 2 of Arts Camp is off to a fantastic start! Campers explored new spaces, made new friends, and began learning about the power of patience—with themselves, others, and the things worth waiting for. 💛⁠ ⁠ This week’s big Art Workshop project is creating a unique “Patience Pouch” 👜—and Monday’s first step was choosing the perfect fabric. In Culinary Workshop, campers made delicious protein “mud” balls 🍫🍯 while practicing patience in the kitchen. Campers continued making progress on their Patience Pouches by sewing pockets, adding unique decorations, and even embroidering their initials. In Culinary, they put their knife skills to work creating colorful fruit and veggie animals, while our preschool campers enjoyed decorating cookies and practicing patience through creativity. 🍎🍪⁠ ⁠ The fun continued in Performance Workshops as campers learned the Camper Ranger song and practiced the original camp song, I Want to Be, complete with sign language. 🎶 Drama was filled with laughter as campers learned new games and enjoyed a round of charades. 🎓 Join us as we celebrate Scholarship Sunday at Sa 🎓 Join us as we celebrate Scholarship Sunday at Saint Barnabas on Sunday, June 14 during the 10:15am service! 🧡💜⁠ ⁠ We are excited to recognize our scholarship recipient, Evan Vance, graduate of Valley Lutheran High School and future student at Clemson University, where he plans to study business, economics, and finance.⁠ ⁠ A lifelong member of Saint Barnabas, Evan has loved being part of the youth group community, where he has grown in his faith alongside others his age.
