This unique service takes us out of the tomb’s darkness into the new light of Christ. We light the new fire to illustrate how Jesus’ light can never be fully extinguished. We carry the new light as we recall the many ways over time that God has saved us. During this service, we will witness the retelling of several sacred stories by some of the children of Saint Barnabas. Then, we celebrate the bursting forth from the darkness in the Easter moment. This is the original Easter celebration.
Children and youth are invited to participate in the Easter Vigil Pageant, which has one rehearsal on Palm Sunday after the 10:15am service. Please register for the pageant here by the Monday before Palm Sunday. Pageant participants should plan to arrive at 4pm on Holy Saturday.
A dinner and dessert feast will follow in Hutton Hall. One not to be missed!
