Join Us as We Bless and Dedicate Jake’s House
Work is moving quickly on Jake’s House, our Fall 2025 Habitat for Humanity build. This past Saturday the team raised all the exterior walls, putting us in a good place to begin installing interior walls and trusses over the next few workdays. We’ve shared photos so you can see the progress taking shape.
This Saturday, December 13, we’ll gather for the wall-signing ceremony to bless and dedicate the home. The Reverend Deacon Suzie Parker will offer prayers, and everyone will have the chance to write a message on the wall studs that will remain part of the house. The ceremony will begin at 9am.
If you haven’t been to one before, these moments are powerful reminders of why we build. We can’t solve the affordable housing crisis on our own, but we can offer safe, welcoming homes for families who need them. Saint Barnabas and the Episcopal Habitat Coalition have partnered in this work since 1990, and Jake’s House marks our 85th or 86th build. All are invited to share in this milestone.
