Habitat for Humanity central arizona

A note from Adriana Olague‑Steele - Institutional Giving Officer
Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona

Dear Episcopal Habitat Coalition Members,
As we approach the final days of the Lenten season and reflect on Jesus’ journey, Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona is reminded of the power of sharing.
The Episcopal Habitat Coalition is a beautiful example of sharing through God’s mission. From our House Leaders who faithfully share their time and talents each week to help build Habitat homes, to the coalition congregations who share their resources to support families in need, this partnership reflects a deep trust in God’s goodness and our calling to be His hands and feet in the world.
The need is too great for any one of us to meet alone, but we are not alone. We follow Jesus, trusting in God’s mercy, grace, and power. Thank you for trusting Habitat for Humanity and for sharing your faith, generosity, and skills to help families find safe and affordable housing.
Worldwide, 29 million people now have better lives thanks to Habitat’s ministry and countless small acts of faith. Because of your coalition, the Mohamed-Ali and the Weldesilassier-Tela families are now living in their forever home in a safe community, and soon Blerta and Erik will also experience the same blessing.
As we celebrate the hope and renewal of Easter, may you be reminded that your faith in action is helping bring new life, stability, and hope to families in our community.
With gratitude,
Adriana

As a part of the Episcopal Habitat Coalition in Central Arizona, Saint Barnabas supports and participates in building homes with Habitat for Humanity for families in need of adequate housing. Homes are built in partnership with the family who will be living in the home, and as a volunteer you may get to work alongside a future homeowner who is filled with gratitude and excitement about their future.

To volunteer, no previous construction experience is required! The activities of the day can vary and may include painting, drywall, framing, carpentry, roofing, site clean-up, and landscaping. Instruction and tools are provided on site. Even if you’ve never swung a hammer before, no experience is necessary. Join us! Together, we’re taking one step further on the path of eliminating homelessness in Phoenix.

Celebrating New Beginnings: Highlights from the Don Carlos Home Dedication Ceremony

A message from Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona:

In January 2025, we were honored to host the Don Carlos Home Dedication Ceremony, marking a joyous milestone in the lives of six families. The event, made possible through a collaborative effort with Saint Barnabas on the Desert, celebrated not just the completion of homes but the start of hopeful new chapters for these deserving families.
