Session 13 will continue the topic of forgiveness (Matthew 6:14-15). This meeting will be lead by the Rev. George Martin, an independent Pauline scholar and longtime student of early Christianity, and father to Kate Fimbres, our Minister for Youth and Parish Life. Through years of research and teaching, he has focused on careful historical analysis and close reading of the biblical texts. Intentional discipleship through thought, word, and deed.
This group is designed by imperfect men for imperfect men who are committed to fostering their own growth and that of the community. They will use Jesus’ blueprint for discipleship, as laid out in Matthew 5-7, to take purposeful action and engage in spiritual contemplation.
We meet thrice monthly:
- Twice to study and share fellowship
- Fellowship, group Learning, self reflection, small group sessions
- Meet Thursday’s of the month at Saint Barnabas (~1.5 hours)
- Once to take action and share fellowship
- Service projects for the church and parishioners in need
- Meet one Saturday of each month (~1-2 hours)
