The Art of Attention: Cultivating WONDER as a Spir The Art of Attention: Cultivating WONDER as a Spiritual Practice. The weekend event was led by the Rev. Travis Helms, it invited participants into a deeper way of seeing, where attention becomes a spiritual practice and stillness opens space for insight. The event began with a meaningful conversation featuring Alberto Ríos, Arizona’s first Poet Laureate, who spoke about poetry as an act of noticing and a way of uncovering the beauty hidden in ordinary life. Together, the full weekend offered a gentle but powerful reminder that when we slow down, listen closely, and reflect, we begin to encounter something deeper within ourselves and the world around us. Visit our website to read the full reflection.
