ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I was very drawn to this definitive moment in all of Biblical history. At the moment of His death, Christ willingly gave up His spirit and God the Father poured out His wrath, His full judgment, on His Son. Christ bore the sins of all who would ever be saved through His redeeming power. This “new Covenant” fulfillment was foretold throughout the Old Testament by the Prophets – the promise of the coming Messiah. ‘The veil of the temple was torn in two’ (Luke 23:45), granting direct access to God by all who would believe in the Name of Jesus.
