EASTER VIGIL 2025
Imagine a night where darkness gives way to the radiant light of Christ! This year’s Easter Vigil at Saint Barnabas was a journey through God’s amazing creations and the joyful resurrection story, seen through the eyes of our youngest members.
As the sun went down, we gathered around the flickering candles of the new fire, symbolizing Jesus’ eternal light that never fades, as we reflected on the countless ways God blesses us each day.
The children, buzzing with excitement, took center stage. Their bright voices filled the sanctuary as they sang harmoniously with the children’s choir. Dressed in cute costumes, they animated the stories of Creation and Jesus’ resurrection with joy.
Smiles were evident as the congregation relived these sacred moments. This was no ordinary pageant—a vibrant retelling of our faith’s most cherished tales, captivating young and old alike.
When the Easter moment finally arrived, bursting with joy and hope, we knew we were experiencing the true essence of Easter—a celebration of faith, family, and Jesus’s boundless love.
And then we celebrated baptisms! The water splashed, and the Spirit danced as new life in Christ was born before our eyes. Kids leaned in close, watching as their friends and fellow parishioners were forever marked as Christ’s own. It was a living, breathing sign of the resurrection—new beginnings, new hope, and new life in the family of God.
Afterward, in Hutton Hall, we feasted together with dinner and desserts, a great end to a day filled with reverence and rejoicing. Around tables filled with laughter and shared stories, we felt the warmth of community and the promise of new beginnings.
In Saint Barnabas, Easter Vigil isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s a living, breathing testament to God’s love and the power of resurrection. Thank you to everyone who made this night unforgettable.
