On Sunday, April 19, 2026, The Rev. Dr. Robyn M. Neville led her first services as Rector at Saint Barnabas, marking a meaningful and hopeful new chapter in the life of the parish. The day was filled with warmth and gratitude as parishioners gathered to welcome her into this shared ministry.
Rev. Robyn offered sincere thanks to the clergy, staff, and lay leaders who carried the church faithfully through its season of transition, recognizing the strength and care that have sustained the community. Her words reflected a spirit of unity and a deep appreciation for the people who make Saint Barnabas what it is.
Following each service, parishioners were invited to a meet-and-greet in the parish hall, where connections began to take shape over fresh muffins and fruit. These simple moments of conversation and hospitality helped set the tone for the relationships that will grow in the months ahead, reminding all that Saint Barnabas is a place where all are welcome.
In her first sermon, Rev. Robyn reflected on the road to Emmaus, inviting the congregation to see their shared life as a journey of faith. She spoke about how Christ walks with us even when we do not recognize it at first, especially in times of uncertainty. Her message encouraged the community to walk together, to remain open to God’s presence, and to trust that, in time, their hearts and eyes will be opened to the work of the risen Christ among them.
Her first Sunday was marked by joy, connection, and a clear invitation to move forward together in faith.
