The magic of music, storytelling, and community spirit came together beautifully at this year’s Broadway Bash, a beloved annual event supporting the Saint Barnabas Youth Group and their mission work. This year’s production, themed “Enchanted Woodlands,” transported guests into a whimsical forest filled with magical characters, heartfelt songs, and an inspiring message of friendship, belonging, and service.
Written by Adele Powers and directed by Sarah Smith, the show followed a group of fairies and woodland travelers on a quest through a mysterious forest. Along their journey, the characters searched for the true meaning behind their travels, ultimately discovering that their real mission was to care for others, build friendships, and serve those in need. Through lively musical numbers, enchanting costumes, and moments of humor and reflection, the production captured the imagination of the audience while reflecting the deeper purpose behind the evening’s celebration.
This year’s Broadway Bash carries special significance as the Saint Barnabas Youth Group prepares for their upcoming mission visit to Rainbow Acres in Camp Verde, Arizona. Rainbow Acres is a residential Christian community dedicated to providing promising futures for adults with developmental disabilities. During their time there, the youth will support the community through a variety of service projects and, most importantly, by spending meaningful time with the residents—sharing conversations, laughter, and companionship that embody the spirit of Christian service.
The evening’s entertainment was perfectly complemented by a magnificent five-course gourmet menu, thoughtfully prepared and served by an incredible team of volunteers. This “army” of dedicated helpers worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring that every course was as memorable as the performance itself. Their efforts were an integral part of what makes Broadway Bash such a joyful and successful event year after year.
Broadway Bash is truly a celebration of the entire church community. From the writers and performers to the kitchen volunteers and event organizers, countless individuals contribute their talents and time to make the evening possible. Most of all, it is the smiling faces of guests, performers, and supporters that make this gathering so special.
