Respect the Dignity of All: Kids Engaging in Racial Equity

Fall Family Formation Program

Sundays at 8:30am via Zoom | September 13-November 22

Registration Required

Beginning Sunday, September 13, our Episcopal Diocese of Arizona will offer a weekly formation program focusing on storytelling and themes of racial equality, specifically designed for elementary and middle-school-aged children (grades K-7) and their caregivers. This is a pivotal time for all of us—including, and perhaps especially, children— to listen to the stories of people of color and engage in a discussion of what it means to “respect the dignity of every human being” (a quote from the Book of Common Prayer, p. 305). We will engage in the program via a weekly Zoom session hosted by Ms. Sarah and our Sunday School teachers on Sundays at 8:30am, during which kids (and their parents, if so desired) will interact with games, discussions, and the occasional craft. The video lesson will be adapted from the Diocesan program.

Please Contact Sarah Petersen for questions and zoom login information.

Rector’s Roundtable

Join us on Sunday, September 13, for our Welcome Sunday Rector’s Roundtable!

These opportunties are provided to all to hear from Rector/Senior Pastor Jim Clark about the state of life at Saint Barnabas during this season of Covid-19. Join us at 11:15am on Sunday, September 13 on Zoom.

Where are we? Where are we going? What’s our focus? How do we continue to make disciples, stay connected, do Jesus’ work? Covid-19 has NOT and WILL NOT stop us! It has just created a new context for us to continue to be disciples of Jesus, the saints of Saint Barnabas. AND we are learning there are new opportunities with great opportunity.

Join the Meeting at 11:15!
