Family Promise: Offering a boundless Welcome to our Guest Families
Join our Saint Barnabas volunteer family as we unite in service to parents and children experiencing homelessness. These families are working hard to change their situations by participating in the programs of Family Promise of Greater Phoenix. Saint Barnabas is one of the founding churches supporting Family Promise, hosting 1-4 families for one week on our campus, three times a year or more, for more than 20 years.  There are so many ways to be involved and to help: set-up (or take down) the beds and rooms for our guests; come cook food in our beautiful kitchen or bring something in; set the dining tables; share a meal and fellowship with our guests; play with the children; stay overnight and provide the comfort of knowing a caring presence is on hand; and more!

The Order of Saint Luke at Saint Barnabas

The International Order of Saint Luke the Physician is a Christian healing ministry dedicated to the healing of body, mind, and soul through prayer, compassion, and the power of God’s presence. Rooted in the belief that prayer can bring comfort, strength, and renewal, we gather each month to pray for members of our parish, our local community, and those facing physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges. Whether you have experience in healing prayer or simply feel called to pray for others, you are warmly invited to join us. We meet on the third Saturday of each month from 10am to noon at The Other Cup. Join us for our June 20 gathering, or contact Nancy Backes for more information.
