This past Sunday at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, we gathered in joy for a Confirmation service filled with faith, reflection, and renewal. We were honored to welcome The Rt. Rev. Kirk Smith, Retired Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona, who led the service and preceded this meaningful moment in the life of our community.

It was a day of deep commitment to Christ, celebrated with our confirmands and their families. The service reflected the heart of our two-year Confirmation journey for seventh, eighth, and ninth graders, as well as adults exploring or reaffirming their faith. Guided by Rev. Pam Bell, Quita Remick, Lindsay Estabrooks, and Kate Fimbres, the program continues to nurture spiritual growth through prayer, worship, service, and community.

Following the service, a family luncheon offered space for reflection and shared stories, as confirmands spoke about their journey of faith and what it has meant in their lives.

At Saint Barnabas, Confirmation is more than a rite of passage. It is a living expression of belonging, formation, and ongoing transformation in Christ.
