Food (and Goods) Drive
In front of the Music Center, every third Sunday!
Our food drive collection takes place on the third Sunday of the month. Food can be dropped off in front of the Music Center between 7:30am and 10:15am or dropped off any Sunday of the month. Look for shopping carts in the courtyard! Thank you!
The Saint Barnabas Food Drive is a powerful force for change! 🌟 Your unwavering support through food and monetary donations is truly transforming the lives of many in our community. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the profound impact we’re making together.
In recent times, places like St. Luke’s on the Mountain have faced unprecedented challenges. Previously, their food drives would gather between 7,000 to 12,000 pounds of food thanks to the efforts of St. Mary’s Food Bank. However, due to federal funding cuts, they’ve seen a sharp decline: only 2,500 pounds on May 17, and a heartbreaking zero on May 31 when the truck didn’t arrive, leaving many empty-handed. By June 14, only 1,900 pounds were collected. These are difficult times, but here’s where your generosity shines. 🌈
You’re not just donating food; you’re offering hope and stability. This month alone, you’ve contributed approximately 2400 pounds of food and generously sent $4,500 each to St. Luke’s and St. Mark’s, and $3,500 to St. Matthews. This incredible outpouring of love is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. 💪
Let’s rally again this July to surpass our efforts! Consider bringing:
· Dry goods and pantry staples
· Laundry and paper products
· Snacks and meals for kids out of school
Your contributions have a ripple effect, lifting spirits and nourishing bodies. Ready to make an even bigger impact this time? See you on our upcoming food drive collection, from 7:30 to 10:15, just outside the Music Center. 💖
